  I made my original review back in January of 2017 and felt the need to provide an update. There are two other Jiu Jitsu schools closer to my house. I choose to attend this academy with my child. My son started at one of the other academies nearer to my home but I was not satisfied with that school’s kids program. My son is now enrolled in the children’s class run by Coach Orlando Rivera. He had a bully attack him at school in the spring of 2017 and was able to defend himself without a problem. I credit my son coming out of that situation unharmed to Orlando because when he started classes he was an undersized child, without much aptitude for combat sports, and he was very easily intimidated. He’s still a bit undersized but he’s not easily intimidated anymore and his Jiu Jitsu skill set has improved dramatically. I personally began training with Fabio in the adult class in 2017. After 5 months of training I competed in a Newbreed tournament (my first BJJ competition) and won gold. I am very happy with my family’s experience.
